PCC translation and authority guidance
If your PCC was issued in the UAE for use with a UAE authority, first ask the UAE issuer for the certificate in English or Arabic; you most likely do not need to pay for translation. A UAE-issued PCC does need translation if a foreign authority requires another language—send us its instruction and we will confirm before you pay. A PCC issued outside the UAE for use inside the UAE does need translation; that is the case for most PCCs we translate.

A standard PCC translation is straightforward: check the certificate, translate the fields, stamp the translation, and deliver the PDF or hard copy. Digital MOFA attestation creates a different problem. The UAE-side document may be valid and digitally verifiable, while the destination embassy still asks for a paper original or a specific legalisation chain.
Recent WhatsApp questions around MOFA stickers and a recent Dubai Reddit discussion about a UAE Police Clearance Certificate show the same confusion: people are not always asking "how much is translation?" They are asking whether the document path they have will satisfy the authority that receives it. That is what this review product is for.
Send the file and the receiving authority instruction first. We check whether the issue is translation, MOFA attestation, embassy legalisation, or a mismatch between a digital UAE document and a paper-stamp foreign requirement.
We review the QR-attested file and receiving-authority requirement, then complete the certified translation when required.
We flag the mismatch early so you do not pay for a translation that cannot solve a paper-stamp requirement.
We prepare the questions to ask the embassy before you spend on extra attestation, courier, or translation steps.
The official MOFA channel sets the applicable government fee and application route. Use that channel for the authority step, then send the authority-ready PCC and destination requirement. We review the journey and provide the certified translation quote.
If the answer is simple, we will say so. If the embassy instruction requires a paper route, the right advice may be to pause translation until the legalisation requirement is confirmed.
Common questions about our translation services.
Use the official authority channel for the attestation application and fee. Send the authority-ready PCC, MOFA view, and receiving-authority instruction; we review the journey and provide the certified translation quote.
Not always. MOFA digital attestation can be verifiable by QR code, but the receiving embassy or foreign authority controls its own acceptance requirements. Some instructions still ask for an original paper document, stamp, or superlegalisation route.
No. We can review the document and the instruction, identify the likely route, and prepare the translation or supporting document package. Final acceptance is always with the embassy or foreign authority.
If you are submitting a UAE-issued PCC to a UAE authority, it most likely does not need translation. First ask the UAE Police or Ministry of Interior issuing authority whether it can reissue the certificate in English or Arabic. If a foreign authority requires another language—for example, a Spanish embassy requiring Spanish—the UAE-issued PCC does need translation into that language. A PCC issued outside the UAE for use inside the UAE does need translation into Arabic, or English where the receiving authority accepts it—most PCCs we translate fall into this case.
Send the PCC PDF or scan, the MOFA attestation page or QR view if available, and the exact embassy or authority instruction. A screenshot of the requirement is often more useful than a general description.
The first review can be done online through WhatsApp or email. If the destination insists on a physical original or a paper legalisation chain, we will tell you before quoting the next step.
Send the PCC, MOFA view, and receiving-authority instruction. We will confirm the translation requirement and quote before you pay.
