Power of Attorney Translation in Dubai

Labels such as general, special, specific or limited can help describe a document, but they do not replace reading the actual clauses. Two instruments with the same label may grant different acts, conditions and time limits.

We translate what the source says. We do not recommend how broad the grant should be or convert one type of POA into another.

Send the exact DLD service or transaction instruction, the complete POA and any property or party identifiers already named in the source.

DLD’s published FAQ says a representative may act only within the limits stated in a duly legalised POA. Translation cannot decide whether the source grants the property power needed for a particular transaction.

Provide the receiving bank, company or authority’s written instruction. The translation can reproduce accounts, company names, licences, transactions and acts already identified in the POA; it cannot add an operation that is absent from the source.

For a corporate principal, send the approved English and Arabic company-name references and any related licence or resolution the recipient specifically named.

Court representation is not one generic power. Articles 58–61 of the Civil Procedure Code address authority and acts that require special authorisation.

Your lawyer, notary and receiving court decide what must be granted. We translate the powers and limitations actually written in the instrument.

Send all pages defining whether agents act jointly, separately or in a stated order, and any clause about delegation, substitution, duration, expiry or conditions.

We keep party names, pronouns, defined terms and cross-references consistent. If a referenced schedule or clause is missing, we ask for it rather than infer the missing authority.

Attestation requirements are receiver- and service-specific. Do not infer one route from the issuing country or the document title.

Dubai Courts’ current Power of Attorneys Ratification service says foreign-issued supporting documents must follow its listed attestation route. ADJD’s published notary guide also addresses certified translation and foreign-issued documents.

If the chosen receiver confirms UAE MOFA is required, complete it on the original first and send the final attested POA for translation. MOFA attestation verifies signatures and seals; it is separate from translation.

Dubai law recognises government, private and electronic notary channels. The notary checks matters such as identity, capacity, consent and awareness of the instrument and may decline an application that does not meet the governing requirements.

Name the exact service before translation. The notary—not the translation page—decides execution, identity records, witnesses, supporting documents and acceptance.

A revocation, cancellation or notice is a separate source document. Send it with the prior POA only when the receiving instruction requires both for context.

We translate what the revocation document says. We do not decide when authority legally ends, who must be notified or whether a cancellation is effective.

UAE translation law generally requires a translator or translation house on the Ministry list when a translated deed or document is accepted by a court or used in authentication or certification, subject to the law’s limited exception.

The written quote identifies the provider arrangement before payment. A provider credential does not prove the source POA is valid or ensure acceptance.

Timing depends on the complete page set, language pair, legibility, terminology, certification requested, delivery format and current translator availability. We confirm a realistic time only after the file is reviewed.

Tell us before sending if the POA requires an NDA, restricted access, a particular transfer method, physical delivery or other handling arrangement. We confirm what can be arranged in writing.

Send the exact return note, screenshot or marked file. Do not assume every return is a translation error.

A missing source power, identity mismatch, incomplete attestation, wrong language, provider credential or submission-format issue requires a different response. We can correct our translation if it is wrong; only the receiving body can explain and reconsider its own decision.
